I am attempting to use GCM to send a push message through the api console to my Nexus 7. In the debug console all looks well upon opening the application. When I send a message through the api console to the given user id, anonymous or pre-existing, the application simply restarts itself. If the application is closed, nothing happens. 

Interestingly enough, if I send the message request to my user id associated with geonotes on my iphone, the push notification shows up, and my nexus 7 restarts the app, or does nothing. 

The application restarting itself as soon as I send the message through the api leads me to believe that I have everything configuring properly and the push message is almost working, however, I could be wrong.

I am not sure how else to debug this any further. If anyone has any ideas or things to investigate I would more than appreciate it.
